INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Individual therapy sessions are available in-person at my office in NW Portland, or online for adults located anywhere in Oregon or California. Sessions last approximately 50 minutes. Most clients start with weekly sessions, though many switch to every other week after we’ve been working together for a while.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. I know I don’t!

Therapy is, at its best, a place to stop performing competence for a minute and get curious about what is actually happening inside you and around you. It’s not just talking about your week, collecting coping skills, or trying to think your way into becoming a better-adjusted person. It’s a relationship in which we can notice the patterns that keep repeating, understand how they came to make sense, feel what has been hard to feel, and experiment with ways of being that have more room, choice, and aliveness.

Therapy with me isn’t always fifty minutes of sitting across from each other talking.

We might explore meditation, get curious about what’s happening between us, follow a sensation or impulse in the body, work with the breath, create a ceremony to honor a transition, take the session onto a forest trail, or—when it’s clinically appropriate—use expanded states of consciousness to loosen familiar patterns and open new perspectives.

All of you is welcome—just as you are.

I’m comfortable with nature, bodies, sexualities, spiritualities, neurodiversities, emotional complexities, and the general messiness of being human. I also welcome honest, judgment-free conversations about substance use and altered states—especially when you’re interested in relating to them with more intention, curiosity, and care.
