KETAMINE-ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is an experiential and depth-oriented therapy that combines the therapeutic use of ketamine with mindful preparation, relational support, and integration. When used responsibly and within a therapeutic container, ketamine can support shifts in perspective, emotional openness, and access to experiences that may feel difficult to reach through ordinary states of awareness.

In this work, ketamine is not understood as a treatment in itself, but as one element within a broader therapeutic process. Emphasis is placed on intention, inner-directed experience, nervous system awareness, and making meaning of what arises over time. Integration—bringing insights and experiences into daily life—is central.

WHO THIS WORK IS FOR

This work is not about escaping pain or chasing peak experiences. It is most supportive for those who value preparation, integration, and relationship as essential parts of the process. KAP may resonate with clients who:

  • Are seeking a depth-oriented or experiential approach to healing and psychospiritual growth

  • Feel stuck in familiar patterns despite insight or previous therapy

  • Are navigating depression, grief, trauma, existential distress, or major life transitions

  • Are curious about expanded states of consciousness, approached within an ethically grounded and trauma-sensitive framework

  • Want support integrating ketamine experiences into a larger therapeutic process

KAP sessions must take place in-person at my office in NW Portland. This work is not available via teletherapy. All KAP sessions are conducted in coordination with a licensed medical provider who prescribes and oversees the medication. I do not prescribe or provide ketamine.
